FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who are you—and what qualifications do you have?

Together, we have more than 15 years of experience in the fields of nutrition, women's health, and child development. Our approach is based on a broad foundation of sound studies, training, and specialized continuing education, as well as intensive scientific research and practical work with families in different stages of life.

Which book is right for me?

If you are completely new to traditional nutrition, Nourished Through the Seasons is the perfect introduction. It forms the basis of all our work—real food, traditional preparation methods, and seasonal family recipes for the whole year. This book is our foundation and belongs in every kitchen. If you are trying to conceive, are pregnant, are in the postpartum period, or are breastfeeding, Nourished Mama is your most important companion. It delves into everything women really need during these sensitive phases of life: nutritional knowledge, a holistic approach, and ways to deal with typical complaints, hormonal connections, regeneration, breastfeeding-friendly nutrition, and over 100 nutrient-rich recipes—but it's also incredibly valuable for other phases of life. Nourished Baby is the next installment: a comprehensive guide to complementary foods, gut health, introducing allergens, nutrition in early childhood, and a large chapter on natural home remedies. It also includes many simple family recipes that babies and toddlers can eat too. If you love the first two books, this is a valuable addition. All three books contain their own unique recipes—apart from a few basic recipes such as broths, there are no repetitions. This creates a series that builds on each other with maximum added value. All books are suitable for the whole family.

How do your books differ from traditional nutrition guides or cookbooks?

Our books combine sound nutritional and health knowledge with recipes that are suitable for everyday use. They are like a compact online course and cookbook in one—with a focus on traditional, nutrient-rich nutrition, gut health, and family-friendly implementation.

Why do your books cost more than other cookbooks or nutrition books?

Our books are not traditional cookbooks, but comprehensive works of knowledge that are more akin to a high-quality online course in terms of content. They combine over 15 years of expertise, study, and practical experience—with a depth and clarity that cannot be found anywhere else in such a concentrated form. With well over 100 recipes, some up to 600 pages long, and sound nutritional knowledge, they often accompany families for many years. We deliberately produce small print runs at a family-owned printing company in Bavaria. This enables us to ensure the highest quality, fair working conditions, and sustainable materials. At the same time, we avoid large publishers and middlemen in order to remain independent and not have to compromise on content or production. The price therefore reflects not only the high-quality production, but also the enormous amount of knowledge and added value that each book contains. Many customers report that the investment has paid for itself many times over after only a short time – because the books become a valuable daily companion for the whole family.

Is the Nourished Baby book only suitable for complementary feeding?

No—quite the opposite. Nourished Baby is a comprehensive guide to complementary feeding and toddler nutrition, but its content goes far beyond that. The recipes are deliberately designed to be suitable for older children and the whole family—for shared meals right from the start. The book also contains valuable information on gut health, which can also be applied to adults. As in all our books, the focus is on nutrient-rich, easily digestible, and everyday nutrition—which is why it is universally applicable. In addition, you will find an entire chapter on natural home remedies with herbs that are helpful for every family, regardless of the age of the child.

Are the recipes suitable for everyday use, even if I don't have much time?

Yes. The recipes have been developed to use just a few good ingredients and are easy to follow. Many readers cook from them several times a week because they are uncomplicated, delicious, and family-friendly.

Is there a sample chapter?

Yes. On the product page, you will find a PDF preview of the first few pages so that you can get an idea of the content, style, and design.

Are your books also suitable for a vegan or vegetarian diet?

Our nutritional philosophy is not based on a plant-based diet – mainly because animal-based foods play a crucial role in sensitive phases of life such as when trying to conceive, during pregnancy, after childbirth, and when introducing solid foods. They provide nutrients in a form and quantity that is often difficult or impossible to obtain from plant-based foods alone. However, we understand very well that some families are vegetarian – we ourselves were in this situation for a long time. That's exactly why our books are structured in such a way that they can still provide you with optimal support. You will gain in-depth knowledge that will help you to plan your diet in a conscious and nutrient-rich way, and many recipes can be flexibly adapted so that you can prepare them according to your preferences. Even though we consider animal-based foods to be central, you will find numerous vegetarian dishes, nutrient-rich basics, many options for individual modification, and above all, real added value for your health and that of your family in our books.

Are your books also available on Amazon or in bookstores?

No – our books are available exclusively through our own online shop. This is a conscious decision. The production of our books is high-quality and very cost-intensive. Large platforms such as Amazon or traditional bookstores would require us to pay high fees and margins – at the expense of quality, fair pay, and the further development of new projects.
Direct sales allow us to:
- guarantee fair prices and fair pay for everyone involved
- ensure the highest quality in content, design, and production
- remain independent and continue to develop new projects for you
- maintain personal contact with our community
- supervise, package, and ship each book ourselves
- A few select small shops carry our books – but not regular bookstores.

When will my order arrive?

We specify a delivery period of 7–14 days. Our books are not shipped from a large logistics center, but are lovingly packed by hand at a small family-run printing company. Especially when order volumes are high, it can therefore take a few days for all packages to be dispatched. We deliberately want to keep this process slow and personal—no mass processing, no Amazon logistics, but a genuine labor of love. As soon as your package is on its way, you will of course receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link.

Which service provider will deliver the goods?

We ship orders insured with DPD. As soon as your package is on its way, you will automatically receive an email with your tracking number. If you have any special delivery requests—such as a delivery authorization, a parcel shop, or a preferred neighbor—you can set this up directly via the DPD portal using your tracking number.

In what format will I receive the eBook?

After purchase, you will receive a separate email from BookFunnel with your personal download link. You can either read the e-book directly in the web reader or open it in the free BookFunnel app. Access is intended for you alone—sharing or copying is not permitted so that we can continue our work and ensure fair production.

Is it possible to return the item?

Returns are possible as long as the book is unopened and in its original shrink wrap. In this case, you can return it to our printing company (see sender address) within 14 days and then request a refund from us. Please note: Digital products (eBooks) are excluded from cancellation, as access is granted immediately after purchase.
